The Role
We're hiring a proactive, strategic Release Manager to drive smooth, predictable, high-quality software and product releases. This role aligns cross-functional teams from capacity planning through execution and enablement.
You'll report to the VP Product - Applications and coordinate planning, execution, communication, governance, and continuous improvement across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Capacity & Roadmap Planning
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Delivery to define quarterly and annual capacity plans
Align capacity with product roadmaps and business priorities
Use historical data and velocity trends to forecast delivery and highlight constraints
Scalable Release Planning
Support release planning across multiple scrum teams and feature sets
Build release calendars, dependency maps, and milestone plans
Align technical delivery with business readiness and enablement timelines
Data-Driven Delivery Monitoring
Create real-time dashboards tracking epics, features, sprints, and releases
Monitor KPIs: burndown, defect leakage, test pass rates, deployment success
Coordination & Communication
Facilitate scrums of scrums and cross-team dependency syncs
Provide structured reporting on timelines, scope changes, risks, and release health
Readiness & Release Enablement
Work with GTM, Sales, and Support on training, FAQs, and enablement materials
Lead Release Readiness Reviews and Go/No-Go decisions
Coordinate beta programs and early access to reduce launch risk
Drive post-release reviews and retrospectives
Continuous Improvement & Governance
Own and evolve release governance, frameworks, templates, and best practices
Gather feedback to improve cadence, tooling, and efficiency
Manage executive reporting, C-suite dashboards, and risk briefings
Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a Release Manager or similar PMO/project leadership role
Track record delivering complex, cross-functional software releases
Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, Aha, and release tooling
Solid understanding of SDLC/PDLC and agile delivery
Strong risk management and problem-solving ability
Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills
Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
